Big changes are underway at Viridis
Many in the industry have expressed interest in staying updated on our exciting relocation of Viridis’ award-winning renewable ethyl acetate plant from Columbus, Nebraska to Peoria, Illinois. THIS is happening in Columbus, NE
The relocation team is hard at work, with nearly 50 people onsite daily, carefully dismantling the plant piece by piece. With a job this complex and crucial, Viridis is focused on making sure we proceed safely and efficiently every step.
THIS is happening in Peoria, IL
The build team is on the ground, getting everything in place for the new plant – and the first deliveries have arrived! The Peoria community has been incredibly welcoming, and the customers we’ve met with are excited and intrigued to see our progress.
As a reminder, this move puts Viridis right next to BioUrja Renewables’ high-purity ethanol plant, allowing us to produce 100% biobased ethyl acetate more efficiently and sustainably. With better logistics, access to key transportation routes, and closer proximity to our customers, this move strengthens our ability to serve you better in the future. Learn more here.
